Q: Why are there 2 cylinder inserts included? 

A: The two inserts are provided to offer flexibility in the width of the cylinder opening.  You can remove both inserts and just use the cylinder itself; insert the larger insert by itself; or add the second, smaller insert inside the larger insert to further reduce the opening to the cylinder.  The inserts are designed to assist in limiting scrotal tissue being drawn into the cylinder as the vacuum is created.

Q: I am purchasing the System for the first time; do I need to purchase additional rings or lubricant? 

A: No, just purchase the system.  Everything you need to get started is provided in the kit.  The system provided suits the majority of men.  You won’t know until you have established your technique which rings will suit you and what you need to order in the future.

Q: How Long do the rings and lubricant last? 

A: The rings will last you 6-9 months, usually longer.  Aim to replace the rings annually, as they will lose their elasticity over time.  The lubricant use varies, but you may need to purchase more within six months or so.  The ongoing cost is minimal, you may need to purchase two tubes of lubricant and one tension ring per year – about $75 to order this, including postage.

Q: Is a Vacuum Therapy system Right for me?

Do not use the Osbon Ring Loader with the EZ Rings.  The grey cylinder inserts are also not required, just use the Osbon Cylinder without the inserts.

The EZ Rings are made of a clear, soft pliable plastic.  They have a centre opening, of a similar shape to the Osbon Rings, but with a flange attached.  The outer rim of the EZ Ring fits snugly over the end of the cylinder, like a lid.

This creates a firm seal and a barrier between the negative pressure being created in the cylinder, and the body.  This design also ensures that the scrotal tissue is not drawn into the cylinder when pumping.  These advantages give many patients a more comfortable tension ring fit and more tension to assist in maintaining penile rigidity.

Once an erection has been created, the ring is slipped off the end of the cylinder and remains at the base of the erect penis minimising the ring transfer process.  EZ Tension Rings are intended for use with ErecAid Esteem and Classic Cylinders.

You may need to experiment with different ring sizes to find the right ring for you.  The guide below may provide some assistance.  Always try to keep the erection with the least amount of tension.

Feedback from men who have tried these rings: 

• The EZ Rings are bulkier than the Standard Osbon Tension Rings, but it does usually solve the issue of scrotal tissue being drawn into the cylinder, which is an important issue to resolve.
